Our Story
After building a national literacy nonprofit for over a decade, our founder launched BookNook out of the belief that only through technology can rigorous programs truly scale and effectively address disparities in reading achievement. BookNook provides a unique solution to the early reading opportunity gap by pairing an online, synchronous instruction tool with a student-centered tutoring model.
After a small pilot in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2016, BookNook has quickly built upon our experience to deliver large-scale student tutoring programs for up to tens of thousands of students across the country. BookNook has partnered with over 700 organizations across 38 states.
